Foods that can Cause Cancer

A terrifying fact is that most of us are consuming cancer-causing foods every day. In spite of modern technologies in medical research, there still rising concerns of cancer due to eating habits. The foods we consume on a daily basis can put us at risk. One of the most effective ways of preventing cancer is by checking the foods we consume.

Prevention is better than cure. Here are some of the foods that you should avoid. 

•    Canned Tomatoes

Tomatoes in cans are toxic because of the lining of the cans that contain Bisphenol A (BPA). This is extremely harmful and discharges from tinned tomatoes at a quick rate caused by the acidic nature of the tomatoes themselves. Since the skin of tomatoes is very thin, it can easily absorb the BPA. This mean, that they are likely chemicals going into your food caused by pesticides and preservatives used.

•    Carbonated Soda

Most of the nutritional value of most carbonated soda is minimal, and there is nothing more but additives and sugar. It has full of absurd amounts of chemical, phosphate, and sugar content from the flavorants, colorants, and preservatives. The most dangerous content that can cause cancer is Saccharin; it is used for artificial sweeteners. Sodas can are more dangerous because the BPA is released rapidly.

•    Fish Farming

One of the best sources of omega 3 fatty acids is fish, but farmed fish is not the healthiest option. Antibiotics and pesticides are used to maintain fish farms which brings a risk to your health. The Fish from the farm contain a high level of polychlorinated biphenyls, a cluster of industrial chemicals. Sometimes, synthetic compounds are also applied to fish to give it a pinker color and make it look fresh. 

•    Potato Chips

Potato chips are inexpensive, tasty, convenient, and filled with artificial flavorants, preservatives, and other seasonings.  It has a high salt content that can affect blood pressure regulation when consumed in larger quantities. Potatoes have a high-level content causing cancer called Acryl amide. It is a dangerous carcinogen because it causes extensive DNA damage before forming cancers.

•    Alcohol

Drinking alcohol regularly can increase the risk of breast, rectum, liver, mouth, colon, and pharynx cancer. These risks can increase if you drink alcohol and smoke at the same time. Alcohol abuse can cause a wide range of deficiencies in your body. Your favourite alcohol has ethanol that can be converted to acetaldehyde, which can cause cancer.

•    Artificial Sweeteners

A lot of studies showed that artificial sweeteners could not help with weight loss but rather do the opposite and put your health at risk. It has aspartame which deteriorates insulin sensitivity more than sugar. This compound can affect your mood and energy level. According to some studies, Aspartame is linked to causes of migraines and risks of brain tumor.
